Crossing the bridge
As much as Ponds Age miracle can try to make us look younger, nobody is getting any younger. The wrinkles, the hairfall and the diabetes is inevitable. But Its not the physical aging I am looking at. There are instances in a person's life when he/she feels that they have crossed a landmark with respect to age.
For some people it could be the well defined ages of 13 and 19 that gives them the feeling that they have been a teenager and then no longer are. For some it could be the important events in life like joining college, getting into the first job, getting married, becoming a parent....which define the crossing points in ages. I was wondering if I have ever felt that I have grown old.
I think the first time I felt that I was entering a new age group was when I joined college. It could be because that was the first time I was going to stay away from home. It could be because that was the first time I was getting my own wallet. Though the money would come from my parents! Maybe its because its the first time I had no restrictions in life. I could get up when I want, sleep when I want, not sleep at all, party if I wanted to, get a girl friend if I wanted to, choose my electives, choose not to attend classes. That was when I crossed the bridge to become a teenager. You could ask - What teenager? you were 18 then!! Yes, thats when I became a teenager.
Then I started earning. Was that the second time I crossed the bridge. I dont think so. I enjoyed the luxury of being the youngest at my work place. All my collegues were at least 2 years older to me. Many were aunties and uncles. But I still remained a guy who was still in his college mood.
Then for the first time last week I felt that I have reached the point where I am no longer a teenager. I had been to Pizza Hut last week with my cab-mates. Most of the others were much older than me. Many had come with their spouses and kids. I had neven been in the company of such people before. I felt that I am no longer the college going kid. Though it is a different thing that since I was the youngest they actually said to the Pizza hut people that it was my birthday and I had to go through the embarassing act of standing on a chair and listening to Happy Birthday being sung!!!
I think I am no longer a teenager. Maybe I should stock some of the Ponds Age Miracle creams. Is that only for females or can guys use it too???

Chaal, guys can use the Pond's age miracle... but it's usually useless. If u want to have good skin drink plenty of water and keep ur skin moisturized. Solves most problems. :-)
