Life in Brugge

The sun is there when I fall asleep. Its there when I wake up. I dont even know when it sets. Theres bright sunlight at 11 in the night. Its weird and I dont like it.

I eat chocolate everyday. Chocolate ice cream. Chocolate mousse. Waffles with chocolate on it. Buns with chocolate filled in. There is a chocolate every morning at my hotel room door step. I am living on chocolate.

I have a typical European breakfast at the hotel everyday. Meaning I eat nothing! Just some orange juice (which is amazing) , bread and pineapple jam, flakes with milk and coffee. When you ask for coffee you get lots of hot black coffee and little cold milk. Then I flick an apple and a cup of yoghurt from the buffet which I have sometime in the afternoon at the office.

Brugge is a tourist destination. There are quaint streets, canals, old buildings, beautiful churches. Charming and romantic place. But I am here on work! Even the lady at immigration in Brussels airport mentioned that it is unfortunate that I am not on a holiday but here for work. Maybe I can add this to my honeymoon destination!!

I am staying in a 4 star hotel.

I have still not decided what to see this weekend. No country nearby that I have not stepped foot on. I will have to search for some place in Belgium itself. Maybe I will hit the beach.
